More About *altarnet
Altarnet Media Institute
The Altarnet Media Institute (AMI) is a unique concept to train and mentor the emerging generation of media professionals in practical real-world on-the-job apprenticeships. The AMI program is a values-based program committed to the creation of positive media programming content. AMI students are placed in a professional work environment to produce actual TV programs and video projects.
The main focus of Altarnet (a non-profit 501c(3) organization) for the past 8 years has been to provide a positive values alternative for youth oriented TV programming and special events, promotions and independent short film festival programming of the Altarnet Film Society. In addition to this programming Altarnet has conducted educational workshops, seminars and extended internships in media production and marketing training.
Altarnet was founded in January 1998 by 8-time EMMY Nominee and 2 EMMY winning producer Patrick J. McGuire and his wife Cyndi. Parents of two boys and a girl, they live in Colorado Springs where Altarnet is based. AFS-basics.htmlshapeimage_4_link_0
